Lindsey Dreiling has spent over 15 years immersed in aviation. Lindsey earned two Bachelor of Science degrees in Professional Piloting and Aviation Technology Management, a Master of Science in Counseling and Student Development, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Leadership Communication from Kansas State University. She is a commercial fixed-wing pilot, certified flight instructor-instrument (CFII), and a multi-engine instructor (MEI). Lindsey also holds a small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) remote pilot certificate. As Executive Director of Aviation Strategy for Kansas State University, Lindsey spearheads the Global Aeronautics Initiative to enhance aviation education and training, while broadening access for underrepresented groups in aviation. Lindsey also served as Deputy Director for the Kansas Department of Transportation Aviation Division, where her primary focus was on supporting the air transportation system and delivering powerful solutions for the state of Kansas. She drove aviation strategies to support economic development, promote professional aviation training, and enhance aviation outreach. As Chief of UAS, Lindsey led the implementation of the first statewide Unmanned Air Traffic Safety program for the state of Kansas and was directly involved with the USDOT UAS Integration Pilot Program. During her time at KDOT and as President of the Kansas Commission on Aerospace Education, she developed a national award-winning aviation outreach program. She is devoted to empowering communities and broadening access to aviation for the next generation of leaders.
