Rory is a 20+ year, 3500+ hour aviation veteran of both military and civilian heritage. Having qualified as an Australian F-18 fighter pilot he went on to operate the Heron UAS in the Afghanistan AO as part of Operation Slipper (RAAF). During his 13 years career with the RAAF he qualified as a Category B instructor teaching a wide spectrum of Ab-Initio (CT4) through to Lead In Fighter (Hawk Mk 127) topics on the ground and in the air. His flying career finished as an Air Transport Pilot flying Airbus A320’s in Australia. Now a co-founder of Skyy Network, he is building novel distributed computing architectures solving interoperability challenges within UTM systems & architectures.
